I am a second-year student at Glasgow Caledonian University, studying Computer Games Programming.
The blog uses references to Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, and the subsequent film as Bladerunner. I cannot immediately tell you why. Perhaps it is because both works, like a lot of PKD’s work, deal with identity and the confusion (and terror) of identity. Identity crisis, to some degree, is something I and every other student has to face, you can’t go through a period of growth, only part of which is education, and not face it. Perhaps it is because they are both exceptional, if very different, bodies of work and I just wanted their gimmick for my diary. Maybe it’s because I’m in a phase of reading PKD’s stories and novels.
