Got exam results today. Passes, as expected, and an A grade on the game. As expected. Have conditionals on two Universities (Abertay, Caledonian) and an unconditional on Paisley. Paisley is the place where two teenagers were shot last Friday outside a snooker-club. It’s the place to when you fail a subject, and one of the class has needed that route.

I’m staying just down the road from Paisley, for the summer; between it and Glasgow central. The summer has been amazing, hot and bright, but not too hot. I did a few days work for festivals, putting up marquees, now I’m a building-site labourer: five stints of twelve hours of nightshift. A large shop is being refurbished, while open. We remove plasterboard walls; we throw that, and other construction waste generated by teams of tradesmen, into a skip. It’s a big enough store to keep a gang of twelve busy for a few months. It’s a gym that motivates you by bribing attendance.
